I just want to mention that Blood Omen might need a cpu slowdown utility on faster computers or it will not move past the opening scene. It should atleast be mentionened in the games entry that such a thing could be needed. But it would be better to provide a link to such an utility.

Do you mean fast computers as in dual core systems? I ran Blood Omen on my 2.53Ghz P4 system and didn't notice any problems. I remember there was a patch included, which I used.

I don't mean dual core computers, just faster computers with more than 2 Ghz (guessed). I know that there is a patched exe included, but it didn't seem to help on my machine. Possibly the problem is my athlon-64 3500+. Does your cpu use the 64 bit technique?

Is the patch included in the iso or in the archive which contains the iso? I tried testing it again but I couldn't find the patched exe.

My computer isn't 64 bit.

Have you reviewed this site or this one?

I'll look see where that patch is located in the archive. I'll have to check my backup discs.

Edit: The Kain.exe is included in the rar archive next to the .iso.

yes, after the included patch didn't work I used the patch in the second link. And unfortunately I can't reproduce the problem because I have only the iso and deleted the archive some time ago.
Well, it doesn't matter. Anyone who has the same problem as me will probably find this thread.

I have tried both patches and still bad results. The first one still freezes at the bar and the last one gets me past the bar it freezes when I'm in the grave. I followed exact instructions and no avail. please help.
